Hello everyone, I’m Sasha Preek, an independant journalist, editor, and proud co-founder of Clear Point News.

My journey to this point has been anything but conventional, shaped by a life that taught me the value of clarity, honesty, and resilience.

I’m an only child, raised by my father, an attorney with his own private practice. From him, I inherited both my love for the written word and an unshakable belief in the power of a strong argument. While most children were running through sprinklers or building sandcastles, I was at the kitchen table, devouring novels or drafting closing arguments for imaginary court cases.

I still laugh when I think about the courtroom dramas I created in my bedroom.  I’d set up elaborate trials, with Barbie as the judge, a jury of her very fashionable peers, and, of course, a district attorney and defense lawyer. My most memorable case was when Ken was accused of stealing Barbie’s car and running over her dog. I was the prosecutor and I constructed an airtight case with no room for doubt. The jury didn’t even need to retire, it was an immediately unanimous guilty verdict. Ken was sentenced to a 1,000 years. It was my first big win, and honestly, I think that was the moment I realized I was hooked on the pursuit of justice. I honstly thought of persuing law, like my father, but I gravitated toward telling stories that matter. Journalism offered the perfect blend of my passions—writing, uncovering truth, and exploring the complexities of the human experience. Over the years, I’ve penned articles spanning everything from consumer advocacy to crime and law—two areas that naturally pique my curiosity. There’s something endlessly fascinating about peeling back the layers of a system, whether it’s corporate policy, a court case, or a story begging to be told.

Clear Point News is more than just another milestone in my career—it’s the realization of a dream. Co-founding this platform alongside Mat Kwairn has allowed me to merge my professional ideals with my personal mission: giving writers a place to express themselves freely. Whether you’re a seasoned journalist, a fledgling blogger, or someone who’s never dared to put your words out into the world, Clear Point News is here for you.

As an editor, I’m straightforward and unyielding in my pursuit of quality. I believe good writing doesn’t need fluff or theatrics—it needs honesty. That same ethos defines Clear Point News; it’s a platform built on transparency, free speech, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves access to meaningful, unbiased news.

When I’m not editing submissions or brainstorming new ideas for Clear Point News, you’ll find me nose-deep in a book or exploring my next story idea. I’m endlessly curious about the intersection of law and human behavior—how people navigate the rules, bend them, or break them entirely. And “loop holes?” don’t even get me started!

Clear Point News is still growing, and so am I. Together with our readers and contributors, I’m excited to shape a future where every voice has a chance to be heard, and every story has the chance to be told. Wish us luck!
